Radiographic Testing (Casting) - Level II

• An individual certified to Radiographic Testing Level 2 has demonstrated competence to perform NDT according to NDT procedures. Within the scope of the competence defined on the certificate, Level 2 personnel may be authorised by the employer to:

• Select the Radiographic Testing technique for the test method to be used
• Define the limitations of application of the testing method
• Translate Radiographic Testing codes, standards, specifications and procedures into Radiographic Testing instructions adapted to the actual working conditions
• Set up and verify Radiographic Testing equipment settings
• Perform and supervise Radiographic tests
• Interpret and evaluate results according to applicable standards, codes, specifications or procedures
• Prepare written Radiographic Testing instructions
• Carry out and supervise all tasks at or below Level 2
• Provide guidance for personnel at or below Level 2
• Report the results of Radiographic tests.

Radiographic Testing- Welds

PCN RT L2 (for candidates who have level 1 already) -Training: 80 Hrs

PCN RT L2 (for candidates who wants Direct level 2  without prior level 1 certificate) -Training: 120 Hrs

SNT-TC-1A-Training: 80 Hrs

Radiographic Testing- Castings

PCN RT L2 (for candidates who have level 1 already) -Training: 80 Hrs

PCN RT L2 (for candidates who wants Direct level 2  prior level 1 certificate) -Training: 120 Hrs

Level II - 9 Months supervised work experience is required for PCN Level II in RT (for candidates who have level 1 already)

Level II - 12 Months supervised work experience is required for PCN Level II in RT  (for candidates who wants Direct level 2  prior level 1 certificate)

Note:All students that wish to perform radiography require a valid Basic Radiation Safety (BRS) certificate, this can be included as part of any RT course.

*Work experience in months is based on a nominal 40 hours/week or the legal week of work.
